I work in this field because it is what I am meant to do. It is my purpose and my gift.

Blythe Rifkin

I know what it feels like to be stuck in a cycle that seems impossible to break. Whether you’re here for yourself or someone you love, you’re likely exhausted—mentally, emotionally, maybe even physically. But there is a way forward. And I’m here to help.

I’ve worked in substance use issues and mental health treatment since 2015, specializing in complex cases that require firm boundaries and a no-nonsense approach. That doesn’t mean I don’t care—quite the opposite. It means I will stand with you, push you when necessary, and make sure that real, lasting change happens.

Clients are in residence at Talons Out Ranch, located in a stunning rural landscape a three hour drive from Los Angeles. Healing isn’t just about getting sober. It’s about rebuilding a life that feels worth staying sober for.

What I Do

I believe in meeting people where they are, without judgment. My work is hands-on and immersive because real transformation happens through action, not just talk.

Comprehensive Care Management

Recovery is more than just quitting—it’s about learning how to live differently. I help clients untangle the emotional and psychological knots that fuel their struggles. Together, we’ll build a personalized life-balancing plan, identifying goals and creating real-world strategies to achieve them. I work closely with families to restore healthy communication, set boundaries, and rebuild trust.

Recovery & Mental Health Coaching

True healing happens in the small, everyday moments—getting out of bed, facing responsibilities, making healthy choices. I guide clients through these challenges in real time, helping them show up for their lives. My approach is practical, structured, and results-driven, offering the consistency and accountability that real change demands.

Intervention & Crisis Support

Watching someone you love struggle with substance use or mental health issues is devastating. Intervention isn’t about confrontation—it’s about creating a path to recovery. I guide families through this process with care, strategy, and a firm but compassionate hand, ensuring everyone involved feels heard and supported.

Healing Through Nature & Structure

At Talons Out Ranch, we integrate nature, structure, and purpose into the healing process. This isn’t just about therapy sessions—it's about reconnecting with life in a meaningful way. Clients have 24/7 gym access and engage in:
Farm-to-table meal prep – Nourishing the body and mind.
Animal husbandry – Learning patience, responsibility, and care.
Fishing & canoeing – Cultivating focus and mindfulness.
Hiking – Finding clarity and peace in movement.

Recovery isn’t just about what you’re leaving behind—it’s about what you’re moving toward.

"I have worked with Blythe for over a decade in various professional scenarios. Every time she has worked with a client of mine, she has demonstrated the highest caliber of compassionate and ethical services. Blythe is my number one go-to when I am in need of someone to work with a complex case that also requires extremely firm boundaries. All of the cases I have worked with her on have been successful, which is not always the case with substance use and mental health."
